Registration is available through the official Spec Markets Trading Cup portal. You'll need to hold an MT5 live account, complete full KYC verification, and register between 31 August and 15 September 2026.

Yes. If you already have an MT5 live account with completed KYC, simply register through the competition portal to enter.

Not yet. Registration confirms your spot, but you must also deposit the minimum USD $200 to appear on the leaderboard. To be eligible for prizes, you'll also need to meet the required trading volume (2 lots per $200) and trade on at least 10 active trading days.

Any day on which you have at least one open position on your account — whether you opened it that day, it was already open from a previous day, or you closed it that day. You don't need to actively trade or manage the position for the day to count. Weekends count too, as long as a position remains open across them (e.g., opened Friday and closed Monday counts Saturday and Sunday as active days).

No. Anyone who's registered and met the minimum deposit stays visible on the leaderboard for the full competition, ranked by Rate of Return. If you haven't met the minimum trading volume or active trading days by the end of the competition, you'll still be shown, but you won't be eligible for a prize and will be skipped when prize ranks are assigned.

The minimum deposit is USD $200. You must trade at least 2 lots per $200 deposited. Volume scales proportionally — for example, a $300 deposit requires 3 lots, and a $500 deposit requires 5 lots.

Winners are ranked by Rate of Return, calculated as: (Final Equity − Initial Capital) / Initial Capital. Initial Capital includes all deposits and transfers in, including any additional deposits made during the competition. Deposit and referral bonuses are excluded from Final Equity for this calculation, though you can still trade with them. If two participants tie on Rate of Return, whoever reached that return first wins; if still tied, the earlier registration wins.

Forex pairs and Gold/Silver (XAU/XAG) count as a full lot (1.0). CFD Indices, Oil, Gas, and Crypto use a reduced lot calculation of 0.1. Make sure your total volume meets the minimum requirement based on your deposit amount.

Winners will be announced within 3 business days of the competition end (by 12 October 2026). Prizes are distributed within 5 business days of the announcement.

Yes. The top 10 traders are displayed on the live leaderboard, updated every 24 hours. If you're not in the top 10, you can email [email protected] to request your current position.

Yes, additional deposits are allowed at any time during the competition. However, any extra funds will be added to your Initial Capital, which increases the denominator in the Rate of Return formula. This means depositing more makes it harder to achieve a high return percentage — it does not give you an advantage on the leaderboard.

The following result in immediate disqualification: hedging across multiple accounts, arbitrage or latency exploitation, price manipulation, server abuse, manipulating bonus funds to artificially inflate Rate of Return, use of Expert Advisors (EAs), trading bots, copy trading tools or any other automated order execution, or any violation of the Spec Markets Client Agreement.

Yes. All participants are responsible for reporting and paying taxes on prizes in their own jurisdictions. Spec Markets does not withhold taxes on behalf of participants.

Yes. CFDs and leveraged forex trading carry high risk and may not be suitable for all investors. You could lose more than your initial deposit. Competition participation does not guarantee profits, and all participants bear their own trading risk.

The competition is open to residents of all countries in which Spec Markets operates. You must be 18+ years old (or of legal age in your jurisdiction), complete full KYC verification, hold an MT5 live account, and register via the official competition portal. Social Trading followers, PAMM account holders, and clients who hold, receive, or use any Trading Credit Bonus during the Competition period are not eligible.
